Worklight Workshop - Cross-Platform Mobile Development with IBM Worklight Studio
Participate and experience how to use Worklight V6.0 to build, test, deploy, and manage your smartphone and tablet apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone devices. The self-paced modules, exercises, and sample code will get you started.
EVERYBODY IS WELCOME – a general knowledge about app development is an advantage.
The goal for the road show is to introduce Worklight, let you download it for your free use for educational purposes, make exercises from scratch to advanced level – hands on.
We provide the software, learning material, exercises. Participation in the exercises requires the audience to bring own laptops and have a working internet connection.
I. Install Eclipse 4.2 Juno from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/juno/sr2
II. Install Worklight Studio following procedure on http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mobile/worklight/download/install.html
III. Setup development environments for iOS and Android following guides on http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mobile/worklight/getting-started.html
13.00 - 14.00: Agenda overview; Introduction to MobileFirst.
14.00 - 14.15: Coffee break and final setup of Eclipse with the Worklight Studio plugin.
14.15 - 16.00: Lab introduction; exercise.
16.00 - 16.15: Wrap up of the day.
