Assistant Professor of Medical Image Analysis
The assistant professor position will be shared between the Computer Science and Neuroscience departments with approximately equal time spent at each department. The research project will include analysis of video sequences so research experience with image tracking methods is preferred. Also, demonstrated experience with and advanced of novel machine learning and/or medical imaging methods is preferred. Further, the position will include contributions to the Data Science Lab at SCIENCE (datalab.science.ku.dk). This means that the applicant should have demonstrated interest in cross-disciplinary, applied research within different fields with natural sciences. This should be reflected in the applicant’s publications. Finally, the assistant professor will contribute to PhD courses in inter-disciplinary machine learning and imaging, so demonstrated relevant teaching experience will be beneficial.
The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within medical image analysis. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties.

The position is a time-limited position open from 1 July 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter and running until 31 December 2023.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.843 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.871). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
