DIKU Alumni Day - Theme: Innovation and Newbiz

In 2010 we celebrated DIKU’s 40th anniversary as a day conference with international speakers from the childhood of computer science.

The “Useful Software Celebration Day” attracted 400 guests may of whom were DIKU Alumni – and many of whom called for an iteration with a more social get together purpose.

This has inspired us to institute an annual – more informal – DIKU Alumni Day, where old DIKUfants can meet over some inspiring talks and a subsequent cup of beer and a light refreshment.

This year’s DIKU Alumni Day is set on

Friday the 28th September at 14.00.

We start out in the Small Auditorium (Lille UP1) with brief news from the Department and a couple of talks. Meet i.a Martin Zachariasen and Stephen Alstrup, alumni Mikkel Hippe Brun and Kaare Danielsen, as well as representatives of the Pwnies student movement and get the chance to chat with old fellow students and/or colleagues.

After the talks there will be a reception with beers and snacks in DIKU’s old library. All takes place in Universitetsparken 1, 2100 København Ø.

The event is free of charge, however a no show fee of 100 DKK will be charged.
