DIKU host this year's Danish Championship in programming

The interest of winning this year's Danish championship in programming appears to be larger than ever. Programming enthusiats tested their skills at programming preevents conducted at several Danish universities, including UCPH, on 22nd September.

According to event manager Søren Vogt at Netcompany, the number of participants at the preevents was impressing and so were the results.

The number of teams for the main event on 7 October has been increased from 32 in 2016 to 40 in 2017. Full House is expected as regards participants from the Eastern Danish universities UCPH, DTU, ITU and, perhaps, SDU.

Corresponding events take place simultaneously in Aarhus and Aalborg.

At DIKU (UCPH) it is anticipated that last year's winning team Lambdabamserne will reemerge and defend the current position as most winning team ever with 6 championships.

The winning team qualifies for the European championship, NWERC, and receives a travel gift cheque for DKK 10,000 to support the trip.
