DMS Open Position – University of Copenhagen

DMS Open Position

Postdoctoral Fellowship

One postdoctoral position is available in the Data Management Systems group (DMS), Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen. The DMS group conducts computer systems research in areas emerging with new challenges in data management. Projects include actor-based transactional database systems, scalable stream processing systems, scalable graph/semantic data analysis systems, data analysis on many-core systems, data platforms for geospatial data and in-memory databases. The group is keen on validating their work experimentally.

The position is initially for one year, but can be extended to two years based on mutual agreement. It is funded by an internal starting grant from the department. We are looking for a postdoc with a strong publication record, preferably in areas related to the group's on-going projects mentioned above. This must be demonstrated by publications in top-tier venues in the database or systems area, such as SIGMOD, VLDB, and ICDE. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with the other PhD students and postdocs in the group to conduct original research that can lead to publications in top-tier venues.

Further information on the Department and the research group is linked at https://diku.dk/english/ and https://www.diku.dk/english/research/apl-group/dms/. Inquiries about the position can be made to Dr. Yongluan Zhou (zhou@di.ku.dk).
