Maria Maistro is a post-doctoral researcher in information retrieval (IR) at the Department of Computer science. She holds a PhD in Computer Science, and specifically IR (on the exploitation of user signals and stochastic models for IR evaluation) and an MSc in Mathematics (specialising in probability and stochastic financial methods, operational research, and optimal control theory), both from the University of Padua, Italy. Her research focuses on IR, and particularly on evaluation, reproducibility and replicability, click log analysis, learning to rank, expert search, and machine learning applied to IR. At DIKU she joins the AMAOS project, which uses IR methods for expert search.
