Postdoc in 3D Printing Interactive Metamaterial-based Haptic Devices
Human-Centered Computing Section
Department of Computer Science
Faculty of Science
University of Copenhagen
We seek a postdoctoral fellow to join a project aimed at creating novel technologies for 3D printing functional, interactive devices. The work focuses on printing objects which can dynamically alter their haptic responses to force, using metamaterials to avoid the need to embed electronics or other non-printable components. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience creating novel hardware and software, especially related to fabrication, and have a track record of publications in high-impact venues related to HCI, haptics, or robotics. As of the start date, applicants should have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
The project is supervised by Associate Professor Daniel Ashbrook. The postdoc’s duties will include research within HCI and fabrication as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.
