Abstract:

Why is the majority of all financial transactions still being carried out by IBM mainframes?

These ancient computers should have been buried many, many years ago,
so why did it not happen?

This talk will try and answer these questions.

Warning: Parts of the lecture will be very technical/nerdy involving the speed of light 😊
