Symposium on Machine Learning and Ancient and Environmental DNA Analyses
New machine learning techniques are revolutionizing many areas of biological research including protein structure prediction, protein function prediction, and species classification using images. However, the use of these methods is still in its infancy in the analysis of environmental and ancient DNA data. The Pioneer Centre for AI and the Centre for Ancient Environmental Genomics are located next to each other near the botanical gardens of Copenhagen, and in this symposium we will explore synergies and the potential for advancing machine learning methods in the analyses of ancient and environmental DNA.
The programme will be followed by a group dinner for those who are interested in joining.
