What if the countryside south of Kirke Hyllinge was transformed into a People’s Forest to create a new shared nature, protect drinking water, and connect to Jenslev? How can
landscape design help balance the needs of locals, visitors and nonhuman species along the waterways and wetlands on the Gevninge Peninsula? This volume presents strategic design work by landscape architecture students at the University of Copenhagen. From February to April 2022, 22 students from eight countries explored landscape futures in Lejre municipality. In dialogue with municipal planners, residents, and local entrepreneurs they developed six projects that aim to unfold new connections with nature.
