CS4ALL event: Female talents in academia

We’re excited to invite you to another special CS4ALL Networking Event – an afternoon dedicated to connection, conversation, and community!
What will happen?
Professor Susanne Ditlevsen from the Department of Mathematical Sciences will give a talk about female talents in academia.
It is a tremendous loss for Danish and European research that there are still so few women who reach the top in academia. To this day, we are still unable to promote the same conditions for male and female researchers. The reasons are probably many and we need to better understand why.
One aspect is our evaluation system. Competition is a great thing — until it isn’t. It’s time to challenge the myth of the lonely genius and the “winner takes it all” mentality. We are discussing a lot about diversity, but focusing on gender, race and nationality, we might overlook the diversity in subjects, research paths, approaches and that excellent research is most often created in groups.
Join us for Susanne's talk, where she have more questions than answers and hope to engage in a conversation!
Who can join?
CS4ALL is DIKU's community for women and other gender minorities in computer science. However, this event is open to everyone, so please feel free to share the invitation with others. No registration necessary.
