Courses and programmes
At the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen (DIKU), you become part of an inspiring and challenging study environment with the deepest level of computer science expertise ensured for the future. We offer Europe's highest professional level in computer science education, and our graduates are often specialists at market-leading, global tech companies or top researchers at leading universities around the world.
In addition to the classic Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Computer Science, we also offer multidisciplinary IT programs at both Bachelor's and Master's level. Furthermore, we educate researchers during the PhD programme and offer courses for credit students and guest students, continuing and professional education, summer schools and courses.
In order to ensure a good cohesion among our students and to create an inclusive and diverse study environment, DIKU has implemented several inclusion, diversity and equality initiatives. These include, among other things: Study start and study start courses, mentorship scheme and various student associations, all of which contribute to strengthening the community and well-being at DIKU.

Computer Science
With a master's degree in computer science, you have access to many opportunities, whether you want to work with programming, software design, robotics or creative applications of IT. -
Part-time Master of Science in Computer Science
The 4-year master's degree in computer science gives you exactly the same education as the 2-year master's degree in computer science, but is part-time so you can study while you gaining work experience. -
IT and Cognition
In this programme you will gain an understanding of people's cognitive abilities while acquiring IT skills to explore cognitive processes and to develop innovative technology. -
Communication and IT
Would you like to translate knowledge about using IT and new digital technologies into new products with business potential for businesses and organizations? Work on concept and system development and learn how to manage complex innovation processes. (Only in Danish) -
Quantum Information Science
Quantum information science is an interdisciplinary education that combines computer science, mathematics and physics, where you learn to develop solutions based on quantum information, whether you want to work with medical research, encryption and communication.
