Cardiovascular disease (CVD)

CVD is the main cause of death in US and Europe. Atherosclerosis is usually the underlying pathology of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and CVD causes 58 % and 48 % of all death in United States and Europe, respectively. This makes it the main cause of death for both women and men in the United States and almost all countries in Europe.
