Process Modelling and Intelligence

We focus on the study of processes in all forms, including but not limited to, business, development, and physical processes.

Our research is centred in particular on process modelling: the development of formal notations and methods for describing processes, and process intelligence: the development and application of technologies such as data mining, model checking and run-time verification to better understand both to-be and as-is processes.

We are a diverse group of researchers, with backgrounds ranging from the formal (e.g. process algebra, category theory) to applied sciences (e.g. data science, business process management, information systems, process mining), and maintain strong ties with industry through joint research projects.
